蔡老板的父辈及周边的亲朋好友，大部分都活跃在工程设备生产、制造等各个端口。自打懂事起，他就跟着父亲打下手，“毕业那时候，就跟着父亲做起各种水泵经营，也算是子承父业了。”谈起往昔岁月，蔡老板的脸上充满了感慨。“刚开始就是负责维修、售后这些，从父亲那里学会了不少东西。”

对于维护客情，蔡老板有着自己多年心得，维护客情这件事上不能一味的去攀交情，交情对生意有帮助，但效果有限，有时甚至会有副作用，真正有意义的是专业客情，专业客情是建立在互相尊重的基础上，是靠专业的销售知识来维系的，客户永恒不变的话题是获利，因此有必要让客户感觉到你做事认真，诚信可靠，你在业务上对他有帮助，比他专业，你能够教他很多专业的方法，能够给他带来好处，只有这个时候客户才会尊重你，相信你，还会同你合作，毕竟所有的关系都是建立在商业利益的基础之上。
